- rumble/force-feedback
- improved wireless speed and battery life

- screen that is smaller than 4 inches
- timing on the announcement could be related to decreased software releases
- Nikkei expects release in second half of 2010

Yomiuri Shimbun

- "it is believed that the system will use a Sharp 3D LCD panel."
- this 3d tech is acheived by placing a small film on the screen, which is separated by a small space. The slight differences in the image creates the 3d effect

- software developers have been briefed on the system
- third party software at launch


Nintendo Co., Ltd. (Minami-ward of Kyoto-city, President Satoru Iwata) will launch "Nintendo 3DS"(temp) during the fiscal year ending March 2011, on which games can be enjoyed with 3D effects without the need for any special glasses.

"Nintendo 3DS"(temp) is going to be the new portable game machine to succeed "Nintendo DS series", whose cumulative consolidated sales from Nintendo amounted to 125million units as of the end of December 2009, and will include backward compatibility so that the software for Nintendo DS series, including the ones for Nintendo DSi, can also be enjoyed.

We are planning to announce additional details at E3 show, which is scheduled to be held from June 15, 2010 at Los Angeles in the U.S.

- il Motion plus verrà incluso nei prossimi wiimote [wii remote plus]
- Mii sul 3DS. Potete farvi una foto col 3DS e usarla sui mii
- il "tag mode" permette di comunicare con un altro 3DS in "sleep mode", anche mentre un altro sta giocando a un gioco. (non nel senso che lo interrompe credo XD)
- rammentano che fa vedere i video in 3D tipo i trailer dei film
- Namco Bandai userà il Tag Mode per far scambiare i ranking e i ghost in Ridge Racer 3D. Capcom dice che vuol fare uno Street Fighter giocabile "ovunque". Ovvero chiunque può mandarti richieste e basta accettare per giocare subito.
- Una piccola luce in alto a destra segnalerà la ricezione di nuovi messaggi o richieste.
- Non importa che gioco hai nel DS: le richieste si accumuleranno lo stesso per un po'.
- I propri Mii si possono mettere su SD
- Si possono fondere le immagini (boh)
- alcuni giochi o software supportano l'augmented reality.
- Virtual console di giochi del gameboy
- SD da 2GB inclusa nel 3DS (almeno di sicuro in Giappone)
- 25 Febbraio in Giappone, 25 mila yen. Marzo USA e Europa sono 220€al cambio puro, quindi 250€ se va bene, se va male 300$ e 299€ immagino
- Colori di lancio Blu e Nero probabilmente.
